Hands down to the best challah in town! But not only that, the cheesecake is one to die for, literally the best I’ve had in my life! The chocolate layers are so on point that give that sweet touch without making it oversweet! And if you have a sweet tooth as I do, try the chocolate babka as well! Special thanks to Mr. Cheskie, an incredible human being. I promise I’ll come back! Cheers from Sefarad 🇪🇸!

My favorite bakery! I always buy the poppy seed croissant, the chocolate croissant and the chocolate bread.

Super Bon Bon, Super Bon Bon! The taste experiences in this boulangerie were ridiculous. We visited three times in as many days! Great staff.

Regardless of whether you eat kosher, Cheskies is perhaps the best bakery in the city. Get the Russian babka and the cheese crowns. They're beyond delicious.

Amazing bakery!! We bought basically one of everything and weren't let down with any of it. The pricing is also very reasonable.

Love this place! You can not eat enough of their mini croissants, cookies and cakes. Trust me it will be a hard choice to make so bring money and get all of them you will not regret it. Parking can be hard but this place is well worth it.

This is a great place to find sweets well baked. The prices are wonderful, get prepared to ask for more than one kind of bakery. Unfortunately I've never been able to get the name of the sweets they have, but everyone pretty much points what they want. Also make sure to try their tuna sandwiches, they are delicious. So far no one's mentioned that you don't pay taxes, I just realized today when paying my bill, how cool is that?!

What a weird experience. Everyone inside looks anointed. The costumers , two Jewish orthodox and a young girl. Nobody say hello or thanks, or anything. The lady in the cashier ask to one of the guys if he wants cream for the cafe and he didn’t even answer. But then with us was all different, I said hello and smile, and the lady smiled at me and was really nice.They only had 1/2 Babka , but whit cinnamon. I took it, it was good , but 9$ is a little expensive. Then we had some other pastries, all to go and when we arrived home , 2 where missing. Overall it was good , but not excellent.

Does it even need a review? The best of the best. Everything is just so good and so fresh.

This is a great traditional Jewish bakery located in Montreal. They have all the classics including the the "Black and White" cookie. It is a great place to go get some fresh baked goods. There are many great dessert choices here too. It is a short distance from downtown and is easily accessible by taxi.

I love this bakery! They even have vegan options which are delicious 😍🔥 highly recommend if you want pastries and treats for yourself or for family gatherings. So many options to choose from and you'll get the right help every time. I bring my family and friends who are from out of town and they love it too. 10/10

These baked goods are to die for! If you haven’t gone here yet, you have no idea what heaven tastes like. I haven’t tried everything here (yet) but the cheesecake mini-cakes are the best! And must try, a must have, a don’t-share-with-anyone-or-you’ll-regret-it cake! It’s a busy little spot but the line up goes quick. The ladies who work there are super friendly and nice!

I've only been in Montreal for a few months, but Boulangerie Cheskie is already one of my favorite things about the city. The breads and baked goods are exceptional, and the prices (which are by weight rather than per item) are very good. The chocolate babka is probably their best known treat (and it IS fantastic), but it's hard to go wrong with anything they have on offer.

Most amazing and delicious Bakary with great goods for your taste buds. Cheskeys Bakary is a very popular kosher Bakary, visited by many poeple who do not even observe kosher food. Lines of poeple always wait here patiently to walk out with a bag of their brand name Delicatessen. Prices are good, staff poeple are nice, and if it's true they will soon move to a newer location where they will expend.

The pastries are great and very fresh. The chocolate babka is definitely worth doing a big detour to get. Unfortunately they're close on Saturdays for religious reasons so it's totally understandable but the service could be warmer and more welcoming. However, the pastries are the main reason to go!!

A small kosher bakery in the heart of Outremont. Makes amazing pastries and danishes. Always check the back shelf to see if they just took out any chocolate or cinnamon danishes. The cheese ones are also really good. The place itself is quite small and usually busy but it’s open until 11 pm most nights which makes it very accessible.

Super good stuff, the Babka is delicious. Really loved the pastries and everything. If you are around and craving for some Babka this is the place you need to visit!

One of Montreal's best bakeries! Have yet to pick up something i didn't like from here. Most baked goods are very fresh and it smells like heaven inside. Chocolate babka is to die for.

I heard about the cheesecake, but forgot about it there are chocolate filled cake which is wonderful and delicious.

Thanks Instagram for exposing Cheskies Babka to us :) They were open on Christmas Eve when everything else was closed :) It looks a bit run down and displays/floor could be cleaner... A point off for not having any prices anywhere - we bought babka, box of jam cookies and 4 pastries. It came to 70CAD (not cheap). Server didn't give us a receipt... all this aside, baked goods were really nice :)

Chanced upon this bakery in Montreal on our way back to Toronto. Amazing bakery with the most delicious of freshly baked goods. The rum balls were just out of this world and so was everything else we asked them to recommend. Special shout out to the kind and very friendly baker who was very helpful.

There are many kinds things. It would be better to have explanation articles. prices normal. Customers are waiting in line. crowded. staff kindly. tastes are ... I don't understand :))

We all the bakeries in Montreal, this is not my favorite. Maybe it was because I was there around 17:00. The bread was on the dry side. Most of the bread felt greasy. I was disappointed

The Babka is the best I’ve ever eaten! Having serious cravings.

Its a small Jewish bakery, too colorful too tasty. They got variety of baked goodies and its busy almost all the time during the day, they have fresh baked goods and packed ones! Their prices are great too if you are ever nearby you ought to check it out! Very generous with the fillings or toppings.

Went there for bakery before trop to NY Lots of delicious calorie packed goodies. Enjoyed for several days.

I live too gosh darn close to this place, it is hard to resist dropping in on the daily. Always a bit busy, excellent pastries and desserts, the classic is the chocolate babka, but if you like a cinnamon roll I would actually recommend a cinnamon babka instead. My all time favorite is a cheese crown, they come in 2 sizes and if you enjoy cheesecake at all I’d give them a try! Also they look like mini crowns which is adorable. A must go if you are nearby.

Dangerously delicious. Great people working behind the counter. Note, not open on Saturdays (for Sabbath). Mini crown heads (little mini pastries gathered at the top to appear like a crown, with cream cheese interior, can also be dusted with icing powder) are decadent. The pastry cones filled with cream, chocolate or custard and drizzled with chocolate are divine. Beautiful breads and obviously go there for the babka as well!

Ask for the Bubka! (chocolate bread) Everything is delicious here.

Delicious, succulent pastries!! One of the best Jewish bakery in Montreal. Highly recommend it! It’s a cute little place open until late! You can smell it from outside! Don’t take your coffee there tho 🤫
